Includes: A journey through the Chianti countryside, one of the most evocative areas of Tuscany, famous the world over for its wine, but also for its landscapes - vineyards, olive trees and cypresses surrounding churches, castles and villages hidden among the hills. The noble owners of one of these castles will be waiting for you and will accompany you around some reception rooms, the garden and the historical cellar of the Farm where the famous barrels of Chianti Classico are kept. After the visit a snack-tasting with a selection of fine wines will be served. The trip moves on to Greve in Chianti with a stop in the historic square flanked by open galleries where you can wander around the shops selling typical products of Chianti area. Then you wil visit Castellina in Chianti, a characteristic ancient hamlet set on a hill and nestled between streches of vineyards and olive groves. In the evening, we will reach San Donato in Poggio, an ancient settlement n a fortified castle dating back to the eleventh century, which maintains part of itswalls and a stunning Romanesque parish church. Includes: Drive along scenic and silent country roads through the hillside of Tuscany on a Vespa scooter admiring the sights, smells and sounds of the Chianti region! The tour starts at 9.30 from our office located in Via de' Lamberti 1 (at the corner with via calzaiuoli). We will pick you up with one of our confortable, air-conditioned mini-vans protected with car insurance and we take you to the countryside, away from the busy and husseling city. First you will receive an orientation conducted by an English speaking trained professional ensuring the safe operation of the Vespa before we head out for our engaging and enjoyable ride. We will drive along quiet and scenic country roads offering splendid views of the rolling hillside and visiting different small medieval villages in the heart of Tuscany and enjoying the most fabulous of the landscapes. Next, we will stop for lunch at a tipical Tuscan castle* to join a little tasting of some of the most famous Chianti wines, locally produced. Includes: Change place and scenery, feel a cool breeze, breathe some fresh air, and really see Tuscany! This professionally guided and fully supported bike ride in the Tuscan countryside begins with a certified and authorized shuttle transportation out of the busy city center.

Riding 24-speed hybrid bicycles, we will elad you alond shaded roadways hemmed in by ancient olive groves and vineyards. Tuscan hill-tons and hillside villa estates are all part of the breathtaking panoramic views you will see as you ride your bike throught the heart of Tuscany. Lunch is a home-cooked meal at a 17th century privately owned Villa where we will also tour the vineyards and wine cellar. You will learn the techniques of production, ageing, storing and bottling the wines an d olive oil, and tasting in encouraged! After lunch it's back on the bike for the ride home. Several stops for photo opportunities will be made along the way, and possibly a top for "gelato", time permetting. A final shuttle will get you back to the center of Florence no later than 5pm.
