Day 4 Rome, Pompeii, Rome (B, D)
Breakfast in hotel. This morning board the coach and drive south to Pompeii. Upon arrival meet your local guide and have a guided visit of the excavations (entrance fee is included). The victim of the world’s most famous volcano disaster, Pompeii is the most important archaeological site in Europe. In a tragic day in AD 79 Mount Vesuvius erupted, and berried the town in 6m of pumice and ash. Now Pompeii offers the richest insight into the daily life of the Romans and parts are extraordinarily familiar – like the 89 food takeaways.
Return to Rome in the afternoon.
Dinner at a local restaurant and overnight.
Day 5 Rome (B, D)
Breakfast in hotel. This morning meet your guide in hotel and start your half day guided tour of the Vatican by public transport and on foot. You’ll be visiting the Vatican with Vatican Museum and the Sistine Chapel (entrance fee and headsets are included), the official residence of the Pope, in the Vatican City. Its fame rests on its architecture, which evokes Solomon's Temple of the Old Testament, its decoration, frescoed throughout by the greatest Renaissance artists, including Michelangelo whose ceiling is legendary.
In the afternoon go to Campo dei Fiori and Piazza Navona and stroll around.
Dinner at a local restaurant and overnight.
Day 6 Rome, Siena, Florence (B, D)
Breakfast in hotel. This morning board the coach and drive north to Tuscany. Stop in Siena and go meet your local guide for a sightseeing tour of the city. Siena is one of Italy’s most enchanting cities. While Florence, its historical rival, saw its greatest flourishing during the Renaissance, Siena’s artistic glories are earlier and Gothic. The medieval centre bristles with majestic buildings, such as the Palazzo Comunale on il Campo, the main square, while its profusion of churches and small museums harbor a wealth of artwork.
In the afternoon arrive in Florence and check in to your hotel. Dinner at a local restaurant and overnight.
Day 7 Florence, Pisa, Lucca, Florence (B, D)
Breakfast in hotel. This morning board the coach and depart for a full day tour of Pisa and Lucca. Your first visit will be Pisa: once a maritime power to rival Genoa and Venice, Pisa now draws its fame from an architectural project gone terribly wrong: its Leaning Tower (entrance fee and booking fee are included). But the world-famous tower is only one of a trio of Romanesque splendors on the green carpet of the Piazza del Miracoli – a serious rival to Venice’s Piazza San Marco for the title of Italy’s most memorable square.
In the afternoon go to Lucca where you will have a bike ride along Medieval walls.
Return to Florence for dinner at a local restaurant and overnight.
Day 8 Florence (B, D)

Dinner at a local restaurant and overnight.
Day 12 Florence & Fiesole
Breakfast in hotel. This morning have your last Italian language lesson at a private school in Florence (9.00am – 12.30pm).

Return to Florence by coach, have dinner at a local restaurant and overnight.
Day 13 Florence, Verona, Venice (B, D)
Breakfast in hotel. This morning board the coach and drive north to the Veneto region. Stop in Verona for a guided tour. Verona’s ancient centre boasts many magnificent Roman ruins, second only to those of Rome itself, and fine palazzi built of rosso di Verona, the local pink-tinged limestone. Here you will see the massive 1st century AD Arena, Piazza delle Erbe, with its colorful market, and Juliet’s balcony.
In the afternoon arrive in Venice and check in at your hotel.
Dinner at a local restaurant and overnight.
