This tour includes the best of what Italy has to offer. The art cities: Rome, Florence, Siena and Venice. It explores the ancient roman town of Verona. Proceed to the lakes area to the spectacular Lago Maggiore visiting picturesque towns such as Stresa-Baveno and Lugano (Switzerland).

Day 1 Rome
Upon arrival, check into hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. Tonight, a welcome dinner and an introduction by your tour escort. Overnight at your hotel.

Day 2 Rome
After breakfast, you’ll have a tour of Rome. Classic sites include: Trevi Fountain, the Lungotevere, Castle of St. Angelo and St. Peter’s Basilica. Afternoon free time at leisure. Overnight at your hotel.

Day 3 Rome, Florence
After breakfast, you’ll depart for Florence,”Cradle of the Renaissance”, crossing some of Italy’s most beautiful regions, including Lazio,Umbria and Tuscany, before arriving in Florence at approximately noon. In the early afternoon, a local guide will introduce you to Giotto’s Bell Tower, Piazza Della Signoria, and many other timeless highlights. Dinner & overnight at your hotel in Florence.

Day 4 Florence, Lake Maggiore Lake MaggioreAfter breakfast, depart for the Lombardia region continuing to Stresa/Baveno, two quaint, picturesque towns on Lake Maggiore, where you’ll spend two nights. Lake Maggiore is one of Italy’s most beautiful lakes known for its splendid climate and sightseeing. Dinner and overnight at your hotel.




Day 5 Lake Maggiore, Lugano (Switzerland)
Breakfast is followed by a day-long excursion into the Alps and Switzerland. Skirting Lake Maggiore, you’ll pass Pallanza, Intra and Ghiffa before reaching Lugano where you can enjoy leisure time shopping the elegant boutiques of Via Nassa or walking by the magnificent Civic Park. Return to Stresa/Baveno later in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight at your hotel.

Day 6 Lake Maggiore, Verona, Venice
Breakfast is followed by departure for Verona, one of Italy’s most fascinating cities featuring a wide array of monuments and historic buildings, such as Romeo and Juliet’s balcony and the Roman Theatre. Depart for Venice, boasting an incredible number of churches, piazzas, historical buildings, canals, restaurants & shops. Dinner and overnight at your hotel.

Day 7 Venice
After breakfast, you’ll take a private boat across the Giudecca Canal to Piazza San Marco to meet a local expert for a guided walking tour of the city, taking in the Palace of the Doges, the Bridge of Sighs and many other highlights, concluding at a glass factory. The afternoon is free for an optional visit to Murano and Burano, or to explore on your own. Back to your hotel where overnight.

Day 8 Venice, Siena
After breakfast, departure to Siena, crossing some of Italy’s most beautiful regions. Arrival in Siena. Walking tour of the city to admire the Dome (outside), the magnificent square known as Il Campo, where twice a year the Palio race is run on bareback horses. Dinner and overnight.

Day 9 Siena, Assisi, Rome
After breakfast, departure to Assisi, a great religious town significant of the life of St-Francis. Visit of the great Basilica with its magnificent paintings by Giotto, and of the interesting medieval city. Proceed to Rome, check into your hotel and overnight.

Day 10 Rome After breakfast, transfer to Rome Fiumicino airport for your return flight home.
