Day 1 Saturday - Florence, Siena, Rome
After breakfast depart to Siena. Guided tour of the city centre visit: Piazza del Campo, Torre del Mangia, and the Cathedral. Lunch (not included). Proceed to Rome. Estimated time of arrival in Rome around 6.00 pm. Check in, Dinner & Overnight in hotel. (BB/D).
Day 2 Sunday - Rome
After breakfast guided visit of Rome. Visits include the Foro Romano, Piazza Navona, and the new city. Lunch (not included). Time free to explore the eternal city of Rome. Overnight. (BB).
Day 3 Monday - Rome
After breakfast, a once in a lifetime experience. A private flight over the Eternal City. See Rome from an aerial view! Free time for lunch (not included) Free time to explore the city. (BB)
Day 4 Tuesday - Rome, Torgiano, Assisi, Perugia
Breakfast. Depart for Umbria, the Medieval green heart of Italy. First stop Torgiano, a small medieval town dating back to the XV century, where we will have the chance to experience the wine and oil production of this area. Private guided tour of the Lungarotti Wine Museum, one of the most important collections dedicated to this traditional product of Italy. Here you will have the opportunity to sample some local wine and oil. Followed by lunch, appetizers and a typical Umbrian “merenda” (lunch included). Proceed to Assisi, where you will have time to explore the city centre and the “Basilica di San Francesco”. Late afternoon departure for Perugia. Dinner & Overnight included. (BB/Light lunch/D).
Day 5 Wednesday - Perugia
After breakfast visit the Perugia museum where the famous chocolate Baci is produced - “Bacio Perugina”. Proceed to Perugia city centre for lunch (not included). Free time to explore the medieval heart of Perugia, with it’s gothic Cathedral, the Fontana Maggiore, Palazzo dei Priori. Dinner & Overnight. (BB/D).
Day 6 Thursday - Perugia, Arezzo, Florence
After breakfast depart for Arezzo, the city of Piero della Francesca. Guided tour of this magnificent city centre. Visits include the Cathedral, the Basilica of S. Francesco, and the historical buildings. Free time for lunch (not included) in Arezzo. Depart to Florence. Aong the way visit the Richard Ginori Musem – Manifattura di Doccia, a unique collection of porcelain and ceramics. Guided tour of the Museum. Opportunity to see how they manufacture porcelain. Arrive in Florence. Dinner in a local traditional Tuscan Trattoria. Overnight.
Day 7 Friday - Florence
After breakfast explore the city centre of Florence. Visits include Giotto’s bell Tower, the Battistero. Palazzo della Signoria, Ponte Vecchio and Piazza Santa Croce. Lunch in a typical Osteria sampling local wine and appetisers. In the afternoon visit the Ferragamo Collection Museum, the best Italian shoe designer. Rest of the day at leisure, perhaps to explore the beautiful boutiques of Florence.
