This is an ideal tour for those who want to visit Sicily, but have limited
time. You begin in the picture perfect town of Taormina and then visit
Piazza Armerina and the ancient roman mosaics at “Casale Romana”.
Proceed to Agrigento to the ‘Valley of the Temples; and end in Palermo
with a walk through the markets and tour of the city.

Day 3 Thursday: Taormina, Piazza Armerina & Agrigento, Palermo
Following breakfast, we visit Piazza Armerina where we view the ruins of the Roman Villa of Casale. The mosaics discovered here are celebrated among scholars of antiquity. Later we continue to Agrigento. This afternoon we visit the finest of all ancient Greek sites - the complete Doric Temples. Then we continue to Palermo, the capital of Sicily. (BB)
Day 4 Friday: Palermo Walking Tour
This morning enjoy an half day guided walking tour to see the lively Capo Market, a large open air street market that captures the flavor of Palermo's Saracen Arab past. Capo is a blend of general confusion and a jumble of vendors' stalls, winding toward the old gate --Porta Carini-- of what used to be the city wall. Then we walk to the Cathedral and we continue to visit Piazza Pretoria and Via Maqueda, whose “four corners” converge Palermo at a quartet of baroque palaces left over from the heyday of Spanish rule dating from 1560. This afternoon is at leisure. (BB)
Day 5 Saturday: Palermo
Time to say goodbye to Sicily. Independent transfer to Palermo airport. (BB)
