Day 1 RomeIndependent arrival at hotel. Day at leisure. Overnight at hotel.

Day 2 Rome, Naples, Pompeii, Sorrento
Breakfast at the Hotel. Depart at 07:00 am for Naples and along the way visit the Abbey of Montecassino. Once you arrive in Naples partake in a brief panoramic city tour: Mergellina, Castel dell'Ovo Plebiscito Square, the Royal Palace, the Maschio Angioino and the port. Lunch in a restaurant. Depart Pompeii for Sorrento. Dinner and overnight in the Hotel.

Day 3 Sorrento, Capri, Sorrento
After breakfast board the ferry for the Island of Capri. Weather conditions permitting, we will visit the Blue Grotto in small rowing boats. Lunch in a restaurant followed by free time for personal activities. Return to Sorrento, Dinner and overnight in the Hotel.

Day 4 Sorrento, Palermo
Overnight on Ship. Breakfast at the hotel and morning at leisure. Afternoon departure for Palermo. Overnight on ship. (Dinner and breakfast not included.)

Day 5 Palermo
Arrival in Palermo. Dinner and overnight in hotel.

Day 6 Palermo, Monreale, (Erice), Palermo
Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning depart for Monreale and visit the Cathedral and Cloister. Proceed to Palermo and visit the Palatine Chapel, Palermo’s Cathedral as well as a panoramic tour. Lunch at hotel. Afternoon at leisure or participate in an optional (to be paid locally) excursion to Erice, small medieval village situated in Trapani’s province as well as the salt mills. Back to Palermo. Dinner and accommodation.

Day 7 Palermo, Segesta, Selinunte, Agrigento
Breakfast and depart for Segesta to visit the Doric Temple. Continue to Selinunte: visit (on your own) the Archaeological area. After the visit, we will have a special lunch in a local farmhouse (famous for its olive oil production). We will have some food tasting and wine tasting. After lunch, depart for Agrigento and visit the Valley of The Temples, known for its well preserved Greek Temples. Dinner and accommodation at hotel.

Day 8 Agrigento, Piazza Armerina, Catania, Siracusa
Breakfast at hotel. Depart for Piazza Armerina, visit the Villa Romana del Casale, important building of the Roman Empire. Continue to Catania and visit the second biggest city in Sicily. In particular we will visit the Cathedral, the Famous 'via Etnea', and also the terrific fish market. Lunch at a local restaurant and continue to Siracusa. Dinner and accommodation at hotel.

Day 9 Siracusa, Noto, Siracusa
Breakfast at the hotel and depart for Noto to admire the Cathedral which has been renovated after many years. Back to Siracusa. Lunch at hotel. In the afternoon. Visit Siracusa: founded between 734 – 733 BC. It is in a splendid position in the east of the Sicilian coast; it stretches out over the sea with the island of Ortigia, where the major testimonies of its glorious past are: The Minerva Temple - today a catholic church, the legendary Arethusa Fountain, Apollo Temple, the Greek Theatre, the Roman Amphitheatre near the Latomie and the Ear of Dionysus. Dinner in a local restaurant in Ortigia - the fascinating historical centre of the city. Accommodation at hotel.

Day 10 Siracusa, Etna, Taormina Area
Breakfast at the hotel and then depart for Mt Etna (weather conditions permitting). it is the highest active volcano in Europe (3345 mt). The bus will bring you up to the “Rifugio Sapienza” 1800 m. Visit the extinguished Craters of Mounts Silvestri. Wonderful variety of fauna and flora and moony landscapes can be seen on the way. We will proceed to a farmhouse where we will taste the most special Sicilian dishes. Continue to Taormina: pretty and romantic town on Mt Tauro (204 mt). Spare time to visit the famous Greek Theatre with a splendid view of Mt Etna and the Ionian sea, or to do shopping and to stroll through the picturesque lanes of the city centre. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 11 Taormina Area, Messina, Cefalu, Palermo
Breakfast at the hotel and departure to Messina, sightseeing tour of the city and its famous Cathedral. Continuation to Cefalů to have lunch in a farmhouse or restaurant with very typical products of the island. Cefalů:is a splendid fishermen’s village and seaside resort. Visit of the huge Norman Cathedral, founded in 1131 by Roger II and of the Medieval Lavatory. Time at leisure to stroll through the narrow lanes of the historic centre full of shops and restaurants. Continue to Palermo, dinner and overnight to the hotel.

Day 12 Palermo
