Sicily regions.
Day 1 RomeIndependent arrival at your hotel.
Day 2 Rome, Naples, Pompeii, Sorrento
Breakfast in hotel. After leaving Rome (pick up at 06.45, central hotels only), the coach will depart for Naples. Upon arrival in Naples, short panoramic tour of the city. Arrival in Pompeii, time for lunch. Visit the ancient roman ruins, destroyed by the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in 79 AD. Proceed to Sorrento, famous summer resort. Dinner and overnight.
Day 3 Sorrento, Capri, Sorrento
After Breakfast, depart for the Island of Capri. Weather permitting we will visit the Blue Grotto. Lunch in a local restaurant. Time at leisure. Return to Sorrento. Dinner and overnight.
Day 4 Sorrento, Palermo, Overnight on Boat
Breakfast. Morning at leisure. In the afternoon depart for Naples. Ferry across to Palermo. Overnight on boat (dinner and breakfast not included).
Day 5 Palermo
Arrival in Palermo. Transfer to the Hotel. Day at leisure. Dinner and overnight.
Day 6 Palermo
Breakfast. In the morning visit the town of Monreale, an ancient royal town renowned for its Cathedral and Benedictine Cloister. Return to Palermo for a visit of the city. Free afternoon. Dinner and overnight.
Day 7 Palermo, Erice, Mazzaro del Vallo, Marsala, Agrigento
Breakfast. Depart for the medieval hilltop town of Erice. Proceed to Marsala, renowned for its locally produced wine, free time to discover the town. Proceed to Agrigento where, on the way, we will visit Mazara del Vallo, an old fishing port. Visit the Valley of the Temples. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 8 Agrigento, Noto, Siracusa, Taormina (Giardini Naxos)
 Breakfast. Depart for Siracusa, a beautiful city known for its Baroque buildings and Cathedral. Visit the Greek ampitheatre, Dionysius Ear and the Roman Theatre. Visit the island of Ortigia. Proceed to Taormina. Dinner and overnight.
Day 9 Taormina (Giardini Naxos)
Breakfast.
Excursion to Mt Etna. Weather permitting we will climb the summit area up to 1800 metres. Return to Taormina. Dinner and overnight.
Day 10 Taormina (Giardini Naxos)
